Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can make us do about it. We run no advertising or analytics trackers — the only cookies this site sets are the ones needed to keep you signed in and to remember your language.
Who is responsible
Sharp Technologies is the controller of the personal data described here. For any question about this policy, or to exercise a right under it, write to support@cryptobetcapital.com.
What we collect
- Account data — email address, password credentials held by our authentication provider, display name, and language preference.
- Identity data — where a payout requires verification: name, date of birth, country, an identity document, and a selfie. This is collected and held by our identity provider; we receive the verification result and a reference, not the document itself.
- Payment data — the cryptocurrency invoice, the asset and network used, transaction hashes, and payout addresses. We never see card details or bank details, because we do not accept either.
- Activity data — the picks you place, stakes, odds at placement, settlement results, Bettor Score components, and challenge progress. This is the substance of the service.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device information, and timestamps, recorded in server logs and used for security, fraud detection, and debugging.
Why we process it, and on what basis
- To provide the service you bought — performance of our contract with you.
- To verify identity before a payout and to detect fraud, multi-accounting, and collusion — our legitimate interest in a fair evaluation, and our legal obligations where they apply.
- To keep records of payments and payouts — legal obligation.
- To send service messages about your account and challenges — performance of our contract. These are not marketing and cannot be switched off while your account is open.
Cookies
This site sets two kinds of cookie, and no others.
- Session cookies set by our authentication provider, which keep you signed in. Without them there is no logged-in state.
- A language cookie that remembers which of the seven site languages you chose.
Cookies we do not set
There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording, and no cross-site tracking on this site. That is why you are not being asked to consent to any: both cookies above are exempt, one as strictly necessary and one as a user-selected preference. If that ever changes, a consent banner will appear here before the change goes live, not after.
Who else processes it
We use a small number of processors, each for one job, each under a data-processing agreement.
- Authentication and database hosting — stores account credentials and application data.
- Cryptocurrency payment processing — handles Challenge invoices and payout transfers.
- Identity verification — runs the KYC check required before a payout.
- Odds data — supplies market prices and results. It receives no personal data from us.
Where it goes
Some of these processors operate outside the country where you live, including outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are made under the safeguards the law requires — standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- Account and activity data — while your account is open, then up to 24 months, so that a re-registration can be matched to a previous ban or breach.
- Payment and payout records — as long as accounting and anti-money-laundering law requires, typically several years.
- Identity verification results — kept by the identity provider under its own retention rules; we keep only the outcome and reference.
- Server logs — a short rolling window, kept for security and debugging.
Your rights
If the GDPR or a comparable law applies to you, you may ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop a particular use, or ask for it in a portable format. Write to us and we will answer within one month.
Deletion has a limit worth knowing before you ask: records we must keep for accounting or anti-fraud reasons survive the request, and a ban record survives deliberately — otherwise deleting an account would be a way to clear a ban.
You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Security
Credentials are held by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in readable form. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is immune, and we will tell you if a breach affects your data and the law requires it.
Children
This service is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors, and an account found to belong to one is closed and its data deleted.
Changes
Material changes will be dated at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means the updated policy applies.
