Glossary
Plain-English definitions of the 13 terms that drive the Bettor Score and the Crypto Bet Capital evaluation. Each entry includes a worked example you can apply to your own picks.
A 0–100 composite metric measuring betting skill across five weighted components — ROI, CLV, volume, variance control, and edge factor.
The difference between the odds you locked when placing a bet and the market closing odds — positive CLV signals a real edge.
The percentage difference between your estimated probability of an outcome and the sportsbook’s implied probability from the offered odds.
A probability-weighted average return — the long-run profit or loss per unit staked if the same bet were placed indefinitely.
A formula that prescribes the bet size which maximises logarithmic bankroll growth given a quantified edge and odds.
The percentage decline from a bankroll’s highest value to its current value — measured per phase and per day in the Crypto Bet Capital ruleset.
Cumulative profit (or loss) expressed as a percentage of total amount staked across all settled bets.
The dispersion of bet outcomes around their expected value — high variance means results swing wildly even when long-run +EV holds.
Placing a second bet on the opposite outcome of an existing position to guarantee a fixed result regardless of which side wins.
A single wager combining multiple selections where every leg must win for the bet to pay; odds multiply but probability collapses.
A bet that finishes exactly on its line. The stake is returned in full and the bet counts as neither a win nor a loss.
A cancelled bet. The stake is refunded in full and the bet is excluded from win rate, ROI and drawdown.
Grading a bet once the match result arrives, crediting or debiting the bankroll and marking the bet won, lost, push or void.
